Today’s Q&A episode of Real Life Mechanics is inspired by something that I do every year, which is to have a theme for the year to come. This process helps me focus on how to set intentions for the new year.

This is the first time that I share this practice of mine publicly and I’m deciding to start a tradition where every year, I get to “declare” the theme for that year, set the intention for the new year, and invite you to join me in living that theme as well.
This year’s theme is: Intentionality.

In this episode, I’m sharing how one can effectively determine what their theme for the new year is so they can build the momentum they need towards their goals and be happy with their year.

I’m also sharing what I refer to as the Dual Process, a way to facilitate getting clearer on what one should focus on in the year to come.

As much as this setting of intentions is something that often done on January 1st, I believe that this can be done anytime during the year.

In today’s episode, I’ll share some tips on how to set intentions for the year and uncover your 2017 theme.

As you follow the tips and go through this little exercise, let me know what your theme for the upcoming year is, even if you already have one.

Now I’d love to hear from you.

What is your theme for 2017?
